clsUMERs POWER COMPANY Docket 50-255 Request fo.r change to the Technical Specifications License DPR-20 For the reasons hereinaf'ter set forth, it is requested that the Technical Specifications contained in the Provisional Operating License DPR-20, Docket 50-255, issued to Consumers Power Company on October 16, 1972, for the Palisades Plant be changed as described in Section I below:

  • Change ( s ) A. Change item ten (10) of Table 4.2.2 as follows: 10. Critical Headers Service Water System 110 Psig static Test Every Five Years 9.1.2, I 9,i.3.2: I II. Discussion The proposed change will reduce the test pressure from 150 Psig to.110 Psig: As stated in Section 9.1. 3. 2 of Palisades FSAR, tests are conducted in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code,Section XI, Rules of In"'-service Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components, 1974 Edition, Addenda through: summer 1975. This edition, as well as subsequent editions of the not require a test pressure of 150 Psig but rather 1.10 times the syst*em design pressure of 100 Psig. Therefore, the required test pressure.need only be 110 Psig. ! III. Conclusion(s)
