Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)
= (OI) completed report regarding the failure to report an arrest by an employee of Williams Industrial Service Group, LLC, a contractor to Southern Nuclear Operating Company at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.
Office of Investigations= (OI) completed report regarding the failure to report an arrest by an employee of Williams Industrial Service Group, LLC, a contractor to Southern Nuclear Operating Company at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.
 
OI determined that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate that the contract employee willfully failed to report the arrest to management in accordance with applicable procedures. We will inspect the regulatory significance of the contract employees failure to report an arrest, 10 CFR 73.56(g), during the upcoming physical security baseline inspection scheduled for September 20 - 24, 2010. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us.

- OI Investigation Information Case No. 2-2010-005    Enclosure This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region II, on October 28, 2009, to determine whether a former Electrician, employed by Williams Plant Services (Williams) and working at the Vogtle Nuclear Plant (Vogtle) willfully failed to report an arrest that occurred on September 13, 2009.
 
Based upon the evidence developed during the investigation, OI:RII determined that a former electrician, who was employed by Williams and working at Vogtle, was arrested on September 13, 2009, for driving under the influence of alcohol and failed to report the arrest as required. However, OI:RII did not substantiate that the former electrician willfully failed to report the arrest to management in accordance with applicable procedure.
