VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 3 AND 4ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT REGARDING LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 3.8.3, INVERTERS - OPERATING, COMPLETION TIME EXTENSION (EPID L-2023-LLA-0002)

Dear Ms. Coleman:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Commission or NRC) has issued the enclosed Amendment Nos. 197 and 193 to Combined License (COL) Nos. NPF-91 and NPF-92 for the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant (VEGP), Units 3 and 4, respectively. The amendments consist of changes to COL Appendix A, Technical Specifications designated by Southern Nuclear Operating Company as License Amendment Request (LAR)22-002. The amendments involve changes to the VEGP, Units 3 and 4, COL Appendix A, TS, specifically to revise the VEGP, Units 3 and 4, COL Appendix A, Technical Specifications (TS) 3.8.3, Inverters - Operating, to extend the completion time for Required Action A.1 from 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> to 14 days. There is an additional unrelated change to correct a misspelling in VEGP, Units 3 and 4, TS 3.3.9, Engineered Safety Feature Actuation System (ESFAS) Manual Initiation.

A copy of the related safety evaluation, which includes the evaluation of the changes, is also enclosed. A Notice of Issuance associated with the amendment will be published in the Federal Register.

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2, Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
