This memorandum documents the in-office review of Revision 27 to the Updated Safety Analysis Report (USAR) for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS), dated March 11, 2014 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML14080A137). The update was submitted by Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC), in accordance with paragraph 50.71(e) of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR). WCNOC follows the guidance of Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) 98-03, Rev. 1, "Guidelines for Updating Final Safety Analysis Reports," June 1999 (ADAMS Accession No. ML003779028), and NEI 99-04, Rev. 0, "Guidelines for Managing NRC Commitment Changes," July 1999 (ADAMS Accession No. ML003680088). WCNOC has historically submitted USAR updates on March 11 of each year to coincide with the date of issuance of the WCGS operating license and to comply with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.71(e). Revision 27 includes changes made to the USAR since Revision 26, dated March 11, 2013. The review of USAR changes was conducted as required by the Division of Operating Reactor Licensing (DORL) Handbook. License Amendment Nos. 204 through 207 were issued during the period covered by Revision 27. There were no major changes during the period. A sample of the changed pages was compared with license amendments and other correspondence for accuracy. No deficiencies were noted.
