Dear Mr. Oesch; The Office of the General Counsel has received your request, dated January 25,2012, to interview the Senior Resident Inspector at the Cooper Nuclear Station as part of the above captioned investigation. This Office has assigned a processing number of "TR-12-02" to your request. Please refer to that number in any subsequent correspondence about this matter.
Your request states that you are investigating a discrimination claim under the whistleblower provisions of the Energy Reorganization Act, 42 U.S.C. 5851, and explains the issues under investigation and why the NRC employee's information would be relevant to resolution of those issues. After reviewing your request, the General Counsel has determined that your request satisfies the requirements of 10 C.F.R. § 9.200, et seq. Accordingly, the General Counsel has approved your request. Please advise this office when you have completed your interview and we will close this file.
