OPEN HOUSE TO DISCUSS NRC OVERSIGHT OF ZION DECOMMISSIONING PROJECT DATE & TIME: Tuesday, February 22, 2011 - 2 identical sessions 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. (Session 1), or 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. (Session 2)
LOCATION: Illinois Beach Resort & Conference Center One Lake Front Drive Zion, IL 60099 847-625-7300 PURPOSE: This meeting is intended for representatives of local government or non-government organizations, private citizens, and interested parties to engage in discussions with NRC representatives about the NRC's role and regulatory oversight in the Zion Nuclear Power Station decommissioning project. Participation is actively sought to maximize discussions with members of the public to ensure that their issues and concerns regarding the NRC's regulatory authority and role in the decommissioning of the Zion Station are presented and understood.
CATEGORY: This is a Category 3 Meeting. Public participation is actively sought at this meeting. The meeting is tailored for the public to comment and ask questions throughout the sessions. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Seating is available for approximately 250 participants. The NRC provides reasonable accommodation to individuals with disabilities where appropriate. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in this meeting, or need this meeting notice or other information from the meeting in another format (e.g., Braille or larger print), please notify the NRC's meeting contact.
Determination on requests for reasonable accommodation will be made on a case-by-case basis.
