Inspection of Hydraulic Shock Absorbers (Snubbers)

R. E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Unit No.1 Docket No. 50-244

Dear Mr. Goller:

In accordance with Mr. Skovholt's letter of October 1,1973 con-cerning periodic inspection of hydraulic shock absorbers (snubbers),

an inspection of all snubbers, both incide and outside of contain-ment, was conducted during the period of October 10, 1974 through October 14, 1974.

All snutbers were considered operoble at this inspection. A small quantity of hydraulic fluid was added to three snubbers which were located outside of the containment. This was the first addition of fluid to any of these units in approximately four months. There was no definite indications of leakage in the area.
