Both specimens were transferred to the NJ Marine Mammal Stranding Center for future necropsy.

Please submit all turtle necropsy results (including sex and stomach contents) to NMFS upon receipt.

During routine inspection and cleaning, Salem Yard Crew retrieved a deceased Kemps ridley sea turtle from Salem Circulator Intake, bay 12A. Salem Unit Control and PSEG Nuclear Environmental Affairs personnel were notified. After contacting PSEG Nuclear Environmental Affairs (NEA) personnel, Environmental Consulting Services Inc. (ECSI) personnel verified species identification and began processing of the specimen.
