Site: SALEM Emergency Class: NON EMERGENCY "At 0855 on 11/5/18, Salem Generating Station reported a recovery of an Endangered Species to National Marine Fisheries. At 0900 on 11/5/18 the report was also made to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Fish and Wildlife Division. This report was required due to recovery of a deceased Atlantic Sturgeon at the Circulating Water Intake Trash Racks.
"This recovery did not exceed any NRC regulations or reporting criteria. This notification is being made solely as a four-hour, non-ememrgency notification for a Notification of Other Government Agency. This event is reportable in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(b)(2)(xi).
"There was no impact on the health and safety of the public or plant personnel.
"The NRC Resident Inspector has been notified."
Notified R1DO (Werkheiser) and the Endangered Species Group both via E-mail 1
