The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is responding to the U.S. Department of Energys (DOE) February 5, 2018, letter (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML18092A056) providing DOEs responses to the NRCs September 28, 2017 comments (ADAMS Accession No. ML17270A119) on the subject work plan (ADAMS Accession No. ML17090A299).
At this time, the NRC has no further comments on the main plant process building stack demolition portion of the work plan. NRC understands that the main plant stack demolition will be conducted in the near term and will not include removal of the reinforced concrete portion of the stack located directly above the Ventilation Exhaust Cell.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
