Notification of Change in Radiation Safety Officer for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Radiation Protection Program for the Retained Premises of the Western New York Nuclear Service Center.

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is hereby providing notification of a change in its Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) position; effective March 5, 2021, Andrea L. Mellon became NYSERDA's Acting RSO.

In the capacity of Acting RSO, Ms. Mellon will be responsible for managing the day-to-day implementation of the Retained Premises Radiation Protection Program (RP-RPP). Ms. Mellon will be supported by the West Valley Site Management Program Radiation Safety Committee, and the Health Physics and Radiation Technician staff of MJW Corporation, Inc., our radiation safety technical support contractor.

In addition, NYSERDA will be working to fill the RSO position at West Valley in a timely manner.
