FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) submitted the initial response in letter L-05-146, dated September 6, 2005. Subsequently, FENOC provided a supplemental response to the NRC by letter L-06-020, dated April 3, 2006. Contained within letter L-06-020, FENOC made commitments regarding specific implementation actions supporting FENOC's response to the Generic Letter.Prototype testing of the proposed BVPS-l strainer design (L-06-020
'Commitment Number 2) has been delayed by vendor activities for other industry strainers.
Therefore, FENOC is submitting a revised testing completion date of December 31, 2006.The final design analysis necessary to support license amendment requests to modify the recirculation spray system pump start signals (L-06-020 Commitment Number 3) is not yet complete.
