They didn't do their homework with respect to the area to which they were moving. And they continue to not do their homework regarding nuclear power, which was evident by some of the incorrect statement of facts that were made at the hearing.This is America, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. However, if you don't like or are afraid of nuclear power, then don't move near a nuclear power plant. Don't move in and think, "Now that I'm here, the plant needs to close." Indian Point was there first, and as long as the plants are run safely, they should be allowed to continue to run. Relicensing of Indian Point -Public Comment I attended the September 19 public hearing on the re-licensing of Indian Point. Those opposed to the re-licensing continuously use the dense population of the surrounding area as reason to close Indian Point. I request that the NRC review census information from the time the Indian Point units were built to the most recent. I was born and raised in lower Westchester.

In the late 1980's, like so many young couples just starting out, we headed "upstate" to Putnam County to find affordable housing. For the anti's that have moved into the area within the last 10-15 years, they didn't do their homework.

They didn't do their homework with respect to the area to which they were moving. And they continue to not do their homework regarding nuclear power, which was evident by some of the incorrect statement of facts that were made at the hearing.This is America, and everyone is entitled to an opinion. However, if you don't like or are afraid of nuclear power, then don't move near a nuclear power plant. Don't move in and think, "Now that I'm here, the plant needs to close." Indian Point was there first, and as long as the plants are run safely, they should be allowed to continue to run. New York needs the power.Thank you, Doreen Costabile-Ti-Ti.m~)9-J.. .rn C_--file://C:\temp\GW}
