Dear Mr. Grimes:

In accordance with NRC Confirmatory Letter (CAL), No. 1-07-005 (ML0729202837), Exeloncommitted to conducting and documenting daily random observations of security at PeachBottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS) until November 18, 2007. We also acknowledge that no additional observationswere missed prior to the conclusion of this commitment on November 18, 2007. While the NRC has reviewed Exelon's corrective actions in response to this specific aspect ofthe CAL and has found them to be acceptable, the NRC's reviews and actions regarding theinattentive security officers at Peach Bottom are ongoing. In addition, the NRC issued a reactoroversight process (ROP) deviation memorandum (ML073320344) on November 28, 2007, toprovide increased oversight of the PBAPS and activities of the licensee, Exelon GenerationCompany, LLC.
