This GL requested that addressees either submit a description of their program for ensuring SG tube integrity for the interval between inspections or adopt alternative TS requirements for ensuring SG tube integrity. By letter dated February 21, 2006 (ADAMS Accession No. ML060540116), Tennessee ValleyAuthority (TVA), the licensee for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant (SQN), Units 1 and 2, and the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Unit 1, submitted a response to GL 2006-01. The response stated that applications for changes to the TSs for SQN Units 1 and 2 and WBN Unit 1 to adopt the alternative TS requirements for ensuring SG tube integrity had previously been submitted. | |||

On February 23, 2006, the NRC staff issued Amendment No. 306 to the SQN Unit 1 Facility Operating License, which approved new SG TSs (ADAMS Accession No. ML060550100).The application for SQN Unit 2 to adopt the alternative TS requirements for ensuring SG tubeintegrity was dated February 15, 2006 (ADAMS Accession No. ML060600405).
