Docket No. 50-482: Documentation of Telephone Calls Associated to the Wolf Creek Generating Station License Renewal Application Gentlemen:

Reference 1 provided Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation's (WCNOC) License Renewal Application (LRA) for the Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS). During the comment resolution for the NRC Safety Evaluation for the LRA, two telephone calls took place that either revised or clarified information in the LRA.

Clarification During a telephone call on July 15, 2008, Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC) was requested to confirm that scoping for equipment relied on to meet the Station Blackout Rule for License Renewal for Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS) included the following:

1) switchyard circuit breakers that connect to offsite system transformers,
2) the startup transformer,
3) the intervening overhead or underground circuits between circuit breaker and transformer and transformer and on site electrical system, and
4) the associated control circuits and structures WCNOC confirmed during the teleconference, the associated control circuits and structures along with all the other components listed are included in the scoping and are subject to the applicable aging management program. For additional clarification of the components please refer to WCNOC submittal ET 08-0022, dated March 29, 2008 (Reference 3).
