NRC Regulatory Issue Summary 2009-06, Importance of Giving NRC Advance Notice of Intent to Pursue License Renewal, dated June 15, 2009 In Reference 1, Exelon Generation Company, LLC, (EGC) (now known as Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG)) notified the NRC of the intent to submit a License Renewal Application for Clinton Power Station, Unit 1 in the first quarter of 2024 (i.e., January to March 2024). This letter confirms CEGs intent to submit a License Renewal Application for Clinton Power Station, Unit 1 in the first quarter of 2024.

In Reference 2, the NRC described the importance of providing advance notice of the intent to pursue license renewal. This letter provides notification that CEG is also planning to submit a Subsequent License Renewal Application for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3, in the second quarter of 2024 (i.e., between April 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024).

CEG plans to submit additional subsequent license renewal applications as follows:

One application in the second quarter of 2026 One application in the third quarter of 2026

November 9, 2022 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 CEG is not prepared at this time to announce the specific plants for these subsequent license renewal applications and, therefore, requests that the NRC identify these plants as an Unnamed Constellation Plant.
