Diane Screnci (610) 337-5330 Email: opa1.resource@nrc.gov Neil Sheehan (610) 337-5331 MILLSTONE REGULATORY CONFERENCE POSTPONED; NOW SCHEDULED FOR JULY 19TH A planned meeting between officials from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc., to discuss a preliminary White (low to moderate safety significance) inspection finding issued to the Millstone Unit 2 nuclear power plant in May, has been postponed until Tuesday, July 19th. The meeting had been scheduled for this Thursday, June 30th.
The delay provides Dominion additional time to prepare for the conference, in light of the reactor shut down at Unit 2 earlier this week.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. at the NRCs Region I Office, at 475 Allendale Road in King of Prussia, Pa. It will be open to the public, with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of NRC staff before it is concluded.
