No: I-24-005 April 1, 2024 CONTACT: Diane Screnci, 610-337-5330 Neil Sheehan, 610-337-5331 NRC Names New Resident Inspector at Millstone Nuclear Plant The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has selected Dominic Antonangeli as the new resident inspector at Millstone Station in Waterford, Connecticut. He joins NRC Senior Resident Inspector Justin Fuller and Resident Inspector Earl Bousquet at the two-unit site operated by Dominion Nuclear.

Dominics training and education make him a good fit at Millstone, said NRC Region I Administrator Ray Lorson. Im confident this talented team of inspectors will ensure the plant continues to operate safely and in accordance with our regulations.

Antonangeli joined the NRC in 2019 as a health physics inspector in our Region IV Office in Arlington, Texas. In addition to completing health physics and radiation protection inspections at nuclear power plants, he has also completed a rigorous inspector qualification program and was the acting resident inspector at the Comanche Peak nuclear plant in Texas.

He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell with a bachelors degree in physics and a masters in radiological sciences and protection. While at UMass, he was an NRC-licensed reactor operator and senior reactor operator on the universitys research and test reactor.

Each U.S. commercial nuclear plant has at least two NRC resident inspectors. They serve as the agency's eyes and ears at the facility, conducting inspections, monitoring major work projects and interacting with plant workers and the public. Resident inspectors can serve up to seven years at a reactor site.
