This letter provides a required report in accordance with 10 CFR 50.46, "Acceptance Criteria for Emergency core Cooling Systems for Light-Water Nuclear Power Reactors,"
for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) Units 2 and 3 Combined License (COL) Nos. NPF-93 and NPF-94, respectively.
On March 23, 2018, Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC (WEC) submitted to the NRC their annual report required by 10 CFR 50.46 (Reference 1).
The South Carolina Electric & Gas Company COLs for VCSNS Units 2 and 3 incorporate by reference Appendix D to 10 CFR Part 52, and thus, utilize the Peak Cladding Temperature (PCT) calculations performed by WEC for the AP1000 standard plant design. Therefore, Attachment 2 of Reference 1 is applicable to the VCSNS Units 2 and 3 COLs.
