Staggered RAI JMS - Structural Evaluation Date: Tuesday, May 30, 2023 2:51:00 PM Attachments: RAI-Structural - JMS-87Y-18.5T (PM).pdf

Dear Rick Boyle:

The schedule for conducting the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review of your submittal indicates an estimated date to issue requests for additional information (RAIs) by May 2023. However, the RAI letter may be issued, approximately, within the next couple of weeks.

Nevertheless, the NRC staff has completed the development of the attached RAIs.

Therefore, we have decided to stagger the RAIs and transmit them to you as they are completed. At this time, I am transmitting the RAIs completed up to this point for your information and to allow you to start working on your responses. Please note that these RAIs may change as we develop RAIs in other areas of the review.

A comprehensive RAI package with the final RAIs will be issued by the date referenced above. You may provide your responses to the staggered RAIs in phases or you may submit all of the responses in a single submittal (i.e., the responses should be submitted altogether in your response letter to the NRC in June 2023).

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this communication, without the enclosure, will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS. ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).

If you have any questions regarding this communication, please contact me via e-mail to Norma.GarciaSantos@nrc.gov.

Sincerely, Norma Garcia Santos Project Manager Storage and Transportation Licensing Branch Division of Fuel Management Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards
