POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 - MAINTENANCE OF REFERENCE MATERIAL AT THE LESTER PUBLIC LIBRARY ASSOCIATED WITH THE STAFFS REVIEW OF THE SUBSEQUENT LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (EPID NO. L-2020-SLR-0002)

This letter is a follow-up to our email communications with Mr. Chris Hamburg concerning your agreement to maintain documents related to the environmental review for the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 (Point Beach), subsequent license renewal application (SLRA) at your library. These documents are related to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs environmental review and preparation of a supplemental environmental impact statement (SEIS) for the NextEra Energy Point Beach, LLC (NextEra)s application for subsequent license renewal of Point Beach.
We appreciate your willingness to assist the public in participating in the environmental review process. The NRC appreciates that the Lester Public Library is providing shelf space in your reference section for documents related to the NRC staffs environmental review of the application to allow access by the public. We requested that you add related items to the reference shelf as they are received.
The draft SEIS, NUREG-1437, Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants (GElS) Regarding Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 - Draft for Comment has been issued. Enclosed is one hard copy of the Point Beach draft SEIS to add to the library shelf for public inspection.
