Dear Mr. Wells,

By letter dated October 29, 2020, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted Amendment 3 to the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR), as required by Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.71. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has performed a review of the UFSAR to identify and remove sensitive, unclassified non-safeguards information (SUNSI) in accordance with agency policy for protecting SUNSI. The NRC staff reviewed information redacted by TVA and has determined that the redactions do meet the criteria for SUNSI and will be withheld. However, during its review, the staff identified additional information that meet the SUNSI criteria and have redacted the following additional information:

Chapter 2: Table of Contents; substantial redactions throughout Sections 2.4.2, 2.4.4, and 2.4.14; Table 2.4-14; Figures 2.4-30 through 2.4-33, 2.4-68, 2.4-71, 2.4-72, 2.4-76 through 2.4-83, 2.4-86 through 2.4-91, 2.4-93, 2.4-94, 2.4-112, 2.4-114 through 2.4-116.

Chapter 3: Figures 3.8.4-25 through 3.8.4-27 and 3.8.4-29 Chapter 6: Figure 6.2.3-4 Chapter 8: Figure 8.2-3 The above files with the additional redactions have been added to the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) and will be made publicly available. The publicly available version of the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, UFSAR, can be located at ADAMS Accession No. ML20323A313.
