On May 18,1998, the NRC staff met with Duke Energy Corporation [DEC or Duke) personnel to discuss technical matters related to the proposed improved Technical Specifications (ITS) for Catawba and McGuire NuclearStations (see letters from M. S. Tuckman to NRC, May 27,1997, March 9, March 20, and' April 20,1998, for both Catswba and McGuire)." Enclosed is the list of meeting participants.-

.-it was a working meeting in which participants discussed the staff's questions and Duke's responses or proposed responses. Results of the exchanges will be reflected in the ITS for each unit to be issued by future operating license amendments.
