attar'1ed to the response to Question 7, contain the NRC's evaluation of the assess.aent.
In general, the NRC staff found the performance of the licensee to be acceptable and directed toward safe facility operation, although weaknesses were noted in several areas, including control of maintenance activities, compliance with maintenance procedures and instructions, in the performance of certain engineering and technical functions, and in implementing the quality assurance program. The summary section of the SALP Board Report also' includes the ratings for the last two SALP periods and the criteria upon which those ratings are based.
