nt= notva. itunois soin October 21, 1985 MEMORANDUM FOR:
File FROM:
Roland Lickus, Chief. State and Government Affairs
SUBJECT:
CONVERSATIOct WITH FRANK KURON On Friday, October 11, 1985, I contacted Mr. Kuron to obtain a clarificatie^
of his remarks regarding Paul Byron's knowledge of the premature criticahty.
Mr. Kuron stated that a Detroit Edison employee told him that the EC knew about the criticality early on and failed to pass that information on to others within their organization.
He said he could not recall if the Edison employee named anyone specifically, but said that the NRC knew of the event.
