Ilowever, during the radiation safety inspection a deficiency was found for not j!

reporting personnel dosimetry under 10 CFR 20.407 for the year 1978.

Operating Procedures The following new and revised operating and safety procedures were introduced in 1979:

was prepared immediately when Facility personnel e

Facility personnel have been instructed to prepare the report required for calendar

}t year 1979 during the first quarter of 1980.

Reports for future years will not be prepared unless so instruc-ted by NRC officials as provided for in 10 CFR 20.407.

We regret this deficiency, but please~ note that f

neither our office, nor any other Campus authority l

for a campus license, has a record of having re-I ceived from NRC either written or verbal, notice of this new requirement.

We first became aware of it through verbal notification at the time of inspection.

2.

Facility operations personnel have been instructed to note any tests of the stack monitoring system on the printout tape so that the information for the test period (s) can be corrected prior to computerizing and processing.

3.

Swipe survey report form is being prepared which should satis fy the reques t for more clear report format.

This form should be in use before the end of the year.
