FORT ST. VRAIN NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, AMENDMENT N0. 48 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-34 The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No. 48 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-34 for the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Generating Station.

This amendment consists of changes to the Technical Specifications (TS) in response to your apnlication dated June 10, 1985.

This amendment adds Section 7.7 concerning a formalized Fuel Surveillance Program to the Technical Specifications. The staff has reviewed and '

approved your proposed Fuel Surveillance Program as described in your submittal from H. Brey to H. Berkow, dated May 22, 1986 (P-86383).

A copy of the Safety Evaluation is enclosed. The Notice of Issuance will be included in the Comission's next Bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
