SUBJECT:
WITHDRAWAL 0F APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT By letter dated April 19, 1985, Portland General Electric (PGE) submitted LCA 120, which requested, in part, a change to the surveillance requirement of the control room emergency ventilation system, Technical Specification 4.7.6.1.a.
More specifically, it was proposed that the testing of each train of the control room emergency ventilation system be changed from once every 31 days, to once every 12 months.
By letter dated July 14, 1986, PGE requested that the above described portion of its April 19th application for amendment (LCA 120) be withdrawn. Your letter also stated that this portion of LCA 120 would be revised as part of the control room habitability Technical Specification changes, to be submitted by September 30, 1986.
In light of ongoing efforts by PGE staff to maintain commitments regarding the resolution of Control Room Habitability, the staff agrees that-Technical Specification changes regarding the control room ventilation system would more appropriately reflect the latest system configuration when submitted following the system review process (i.e., September 30, 1986). Your request for withdrawal is hereby granted.
The Commission has filed the enclosed " Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License" with the Office of the Federal Register for Publication.
