Dear Mr. Lindblad:
SUBJECT:
SAFETY PARAMETER DISPLAY SYSTEM (SPDS)
By letters dated July 19, 1985 and October 9, 1986, PGE provided supplemental information for two items identified in our June 13, 1985 Safety Evaluation for the Trojan Safety Parameter Display System that required additional information.
The two concerns were in regard to the means by which the radiation status of the secondary system is normally assessed by the SPDS, and the apparent inconsistency with respect to the color-coding convention used in the display of computer data.
The staff has reviewed PGE's responses and concludes that the addition of the main steam line activity monitors (PPM-16, A-D) to the SPDS for secondary system radiation status determination, and the use of standard convention color-coding for the display of computer data are acceptable.
Sincerely, i
