Dear Mr. Keppler:

DOCKET NO. 50-264 ~

/  ;

In reply to your letter of January 12, we have secured the reactor room and laboratory to prevent unauthorized entry.

The locks have been changed and keys have been issued to only authorized personnel. As was explained to your staff at the time of their inspection, the manager of the facility is in the hospital and it would be improper to commit him to future action steps without his participation.

The Radiation Safety Committee has a meeting scheduled for next week at which the manager plans to be present and the security of the TRIGA reactor will be discussed. An updated security plan will be submitted to your office for con-sideration at this time.

Sincerely, Mf R. R. Langner, Chairman Radiation Safety Committee 1803 Building 517/636-4344 bjd JMi031978 E '.,
