(, NOTE: Record test Equip Number (f) and Cal due date, for 3.1, on Attachment 1. 4.0 PRECAUTIONS AND LIMITATIONS 4.1 This test may be performed while the plant is at power operations. Inputs are introduced to the RPS logic which will result in 1/2 SCRAM signals. If reliable communications are established and the test is performed carefully and in an orderly manner in accordance with this procedure, a SCRAM should not occur. 4.2 If any steps cannot be satisfactorily completed or if any instrument setpoints exceed Required Limits, iseediately notify the Nuclear Shift Supervisor (NSS) so that he can take any l(c necessary actions. 4.3 If a change of testing personnel takes place during the course of this test, the prerequisites should be reverified. 4.4 Appropriate safety precautions shall be taken when working on energized equipment. 4.5 Safety precautions unique to individual instruments, if any, will be described in the " REMARKS" secticn of the Equipment Specification Sheet. 4.6 Always read a step in its entirety before performing that step. 4.7 No other RPS testing should be performed while this test is being conducted which may affect the performance of this test.

POM 44.010.72 Revision 6 Page 5 5.0 PREREQUISITES 5.1 A Radiation Work Permit (RWP) has been obtained in accordance with Reference 2.1.1, if required. 5.2 Ensure the requirement of 4.3.1 through 4.3.9 of Reference 2.1.4 are satisfied. L 5.3 Obtain permission from the NSS to perform this surveillance in accordance with Reference 2.1.2, and inform him that thic test will give a " half scram" to the RPS Logic and that no other RPS testing that may affect the performance of this test should be performed. 5.4 Notify the Control Room Nuclear Supervising Operator (NS0) that lL the performance of this test will affect the following alarms / indications and that any other alarms / indications that occur during this test must be considered as a true indication of plant conditions.
