Docket No. 50-142 UC'_A S e c u ri t y P l an I have reviewed the letter f rom the licensee dated 4/1/76 which consisted of revised pages 1 through 8 (the entire text) of the security plan plus I

revised figures 11 and 15 of Arpendix A. The revision was necessary, as reported by the licensee, to correct prior errors and update infor ation in response to an 16E inspection and an annual evaluation of the security i

plan by the licensee. The substantive changes in the security plan are as follows:

2. A new se: tion, "Operational Require ents" has been added which explains the use of the level C, B, and A areas, and the access requirerents i for the radioactive storage room.

3. The responsibilities of the Laboratery Se urity Of ficer are further specified.

4 The holders of A-level keys have been identified by title; names I have been deltted.

j 5. A statement has been added that only A-level key holders are j authorized to activate and deactivate the intruder detection system i

None of the above changes tend to decrease the ef., ,e the security plan, as previously approved by letter to the licensee dated 3/18/76. The security plan, as submitted, continues to meet the require-cents of 10 CFR 50.34(c) and 73.40 and is acceptable.
