SUMMARY

OF MEETING ON CEA GUIDE TUBES On July 7, 1978, members of the NRC staff met with representatives of Arkansas Power and Light Company (AP&LCo) and Combustion Engineering, Inc. (CE) in Bethesda, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to continue the discussions of the previous meeting held on June 9, 1978 on the proposed modifications to the CEA guide tube design. A list of the attendees is included in the Enclosure.

As a result of the meeting the staff identified several areas for which additional infonnation was required to be submitted. AP&LCo's letter of July 18, 1978 responded to these concerns. The staff's evaluation of the proposed modifications to the CEA guide tube components is included in Supplement No. 2 to the Safety Evaluation Report for AN0-2.
