NRC OVERTIME POLICY Thank you for forwarding Mr. Elrod's memorandum dated August 31, 1994 concerning shift scheduling practices at the St. Lucie plant.
NRR is currently evaluating the Commission's policy on nuclear plant staff working hours and is preparing a proposed revision to the policy statement. As part of this process we will consider the issues identified in Mr. Elrod's memorandum, specifically the problems associated with 16 hour1.851852e-4 days <br />0.00444 hours <br />2.645503e-5 weeks <br />6.088e-6 months <br /> shifts and the limited time available for sleep when an individual must report for duty 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br /> after a 16 hour1.851852e-4 days <br />0.00444 hours <br />2.645503e-5 weeks <br />6.088e-6 months <br /> shift.
