TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH CONGRESSMAN BADHAM i
Congressman Badham (California) called this morning while I was out.
I returned the call shortly thereafter, j
He said he was calling about San Onofre, Unit 1.
He said that he j
understood representatives of the utility were in town and wanted to come and talk to me.
I said that the Commission was trying to clarify the desires of the utility to have a meeting with the Commission.
I noted that our General Counsel had been asked to contact the utility to determine whether or not they wanted to meet with the Commission.
l I said that the Commission at present has time available on October 4 to meet with the utility.
I also stated that I believed the utility should talk to the Commission'-- rather than a Tepresentative -- because it would be the full Commission that would make the San Onofre decision.
He thanked me for the information.
