GENERIC LETTER 83-28 ITEM 1.1 SAFETY EVALUATION

! By letter dated June 26, 1985 we forwarded the staff's Safety Evaluation (SE) concerning Item 1.1- of Generic Letter 83-28, Post-Trip Review. In our SE we

' stated that the Trojan program had not provided .for an independent assessment l

of the event following a trip. We further recommended that if any review f guidelines as stated in Section II.A of the SE were not met, an independent

assessment of the event should be performed.

We have since received your responses to the above cited open issues by letter dated July 19, 1985. The staff has reviewed your responses and finds that the-issues have been resolved. Thus, we conclude that the Post-Trip Review Program and Procedures for Trojan are acceptable. Our revised SE is enclosed and supersedes our June 26, 1985 evaluation.
