BRIEFING ON SEISMIC DESIGN CAPABILITY OF OPERATING REACTORS AND RESPONSES TO OIE BULLETIN ON SEISMIC ANALYSIS, 9:30 A.M., THURSDAY, JUNE 28, 1979, COMMISSIONERS' CONFERENCE ROOM, D.C. OFFICE (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
Chairman Hendrie and Commissioner Gilinsky were provided a summary briefing concerning the ongoing review of seismic design capability of operating reactors, and were informed of the responses to the I&E bulletins that have been issued on this subject.
Although the Commission placed no requirements on the staff at this meeting, they noted that:
- 1. I&E would be issuing a bulletin on verification of seismic design capability the week of June 25, 1979, and;
- 2. staff will periodically inform the Commission on their findings in the seismic design area.
