AMFM PANEL REPORT Enclosed for your information is a copy of the final draf t report of DOE's advisory panel. We are currently reviewing this report, with the assistance of ELD, RES, NRR, and OPE, to identify the impacts on NRC's regulatory role that could be expected if the Panel's recommendations were implemented.
DOE is planning to send the final draft to the Commission in late December for a brief consultation period. We have asked the other NRC offices to provide their comments on the report to us by Cecember 28, and would appreciate receiving any comments you have by that date as well.
