l. These instruments are exempt from qualification because they are not considered to be safety related. They only function to provide a computer input as supplementary information. The computer is not considered to be safety-related and it may be escured during an accident. In the event of a DBA LOCA or HELB inside containssent causing the harsh environment, an SFAS signal will isolate these lines and therefore cause flow to go to zero. The operator is aware of the instruments?

i non-safety-related status and will not be misled by erroneous indication. Since the instrument does not perform a control function, accident mitigation will not be affected by its failure.

1. These instruments are exempt from qualification because they are not considered to be safety related. They only function to provide a computer input as supplementary information. The computer is not considered to be safety-related and it may be escured during an accident. In the event of a DBA LOCA or HELB inside containment causing the harsh environment, an SFAS signal will isolate these lines and therefore cause flow to go to zero. The operator is aware of the instruments' non-safety-related status and will not be misled by erroneous indication. Since the instrument does not perform a control function, accident mitigation will not be affected by its failure.
