SUBJECT:

PROFESSIONAL STAFFHOURS EXPENDED FOR FULL POWER OPERATING LICENSES In response to your February 20, 1985 memorandum, enclosed are license fee memos for Diablo, Ca nyon I, Catawba I and Byron 1.

We are forwarding the fee memos and backup materials with professional staffhours and contract costs for the period 6/24/84.through the date of issuance of the full power license.

As I stated in my July 23 memorandum to you on procedures for administration of the revised fee rule, HMSS expects LFMB to retain backup materials to be released to licensees upon request.

Please note that the monthly letter status reports should not be released without a prescreening by HMSS because they often contain information considered to be sensitive about competitors.

As specified in the referenced memorandum, also note that unreconciled monthly letter status reports received from 00E and private contractors are the source of contract costs.

NMSS has expended no professional staffhours or contract costs for Grand Gulf I or Callaway I during the time period requested.
