GULF STATES UTILITIES COMPANY'S NOTICE OF APPEAL Gulf States Utilities Company ("GSU"), pursuant to 10 C.F.R.

S 2.714a, hereby appeals the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's

" Memorandum and Order (On Petition to Intervene)," LBP-94-3

(" Order"), dated January 27, 1994. As set forth more fully in the Brief in Support of Gulf State Utilities Company's Appeal being filed contemporaneously with this Notice of Appeal, the Licensing Board, contrary to the requirements of ' S '2. 714 ' and Commission precedents, ruled that Cajan Electric Power Cooperative, Inc.

(" Cajun" or " Petitioner") had standing to intervene in the captioned proceeding and admitted one of the contentions proffered by Petitioner. The Commission should reverse and vacate the 9403070034 940215 PDR ADOCK 05000458 'p c eos yf
