On April 26, 1993, pursuant to this Commission's a March 18, 1993 Notice (as published in the Federal Reafster on  ;

i March 25, 1993), the Municipal Energy Agency of Mississippi j

("MEAM") filed in this docket its Response of Municipal Energy .l Agency of Mississippi to Notice of Consideration of Transfer of Control of Licensee and Opportunity for Public Comment on Antitrust Issues and Conditional Petition to Intervene.

This Commission has not yet acted upon the petitions to intervene, l such as MEAM's, filed in this docket on other than health and l C

safety issues.

MEAM hereby notifies this Commission that it has l

reached an accommodation with Entergy Systems, Inc. ("ESI"),  :

acting for itself and as agent for the Entergy operating com- j panies, which resolves the objections which MEAM has previously .?

asserted to the proposed merger of Entergy Corporation with Gulf-States Utilities Company which is the subject of these dockets. -l In consequence, MEAM withdraws its objections to the merger, and j t
