A Discusciun:
In 1979, Won-Door Corporation sted the United States for loss of i'.s property without just compensation.
Wen-Door owns a factory adjacent to the site of thee inactive uranium cill formerly operated by ti.e Vitro checi:al Company in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Won-Door claims that radiation fron the adjacent uranium mill tailings pile has created a health hazard which prevents' the use, sale or lease of its property, and that this virtual destruction of its property constitutes an unlawful taking.
t Subsequent to the filing of this suit, settlement negotiations were entered into by Won-Door, t he Department of Energy, the State of U h, and the Department of Justice..
