SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION CLAS$1FICATION OF SUPPLEMENTAL INTERVIEWS TRANSMITTED BY CONNELLY TO MARTIN 12/21/88 MEMO At your request, I have reviewed the subject interviews for the purpose of assessing whether Safeguards Information is contained within these documents.
My determination is that none of these supplemental interview transcripts or reports of interview contain Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR 73.21. On the specific question of classification of the type of flame retardant material used around certain doors R. A. Erickson, Chief, Safeguards Branch, NRR, generally agreed by telephone that no Safeguards Information categorization is necessary.
DRSS supervisors and Physical Security Specialist Caldwell all informally concur in this view.
Accordingly, upcn removal of the physical security inspection report 50-498; 50-499/88-05 from the attachments to the subject memo, none of the documents need to be handled as Safeguards Information.
I have removed report 50-498; 50-499/88-05 from the documents, crossed out all Safeguards Information markings, and am forwarding the memo and non-Safeguards Inform 4 tion attachments to you with this memo.
