This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
I received a letter dated November 2.
1989 from William T. Russell, Region I Regional Administrator concerning outside employment with the State Inspector at Maine Yankee.
This letter informed me that the Executive Director for Operations had determined that my outside employment is a conflict of interest.
No explanation was given as to the basis of this decision.
Since this action will result in loss of employment I am requesting the copies of the following documents:
1.
The rules, regulations or case law which formed the bases for determining that State Employment and NRC employment represents a conflict of interest.
These documents would be specific to my request of July 24, 1989 (copy enclosed).
In order to help determine my status to assess fees, I am an employee of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Region I and am the I
Administrative Assistant for the Resident Inspector's office at Maine Yankee.
I understand that I may be assessed fees to recover copying coste but no fees will be assessed for search or review of documents and that small requests such as this are usually free.
