RESOLUTION OF NORTH SHORE COMMITTEE CONTENTION EP 12(A) -- PERSONNEL ASSIGNMENTS TO COMMUNICATION / NOTIFICATION THIS AGREEMENT by and among Long Island Lighting Company ("LILCO"), the Nuclear Re ulatory Commission Staff

(" Staff"), Suffolk County ("Mie County" or "SC"), the Shoreham Opponents Coalition (" SOC"), and the North Shore Committee

("NSC") (hereinafter collectively the " Parties") resolves North Shore Committee Contention EP 12(A) in accordance with the terms stated below, subject to the approval of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (" Licensing Board").

North Shore Committee Contention EP 12(A) concerns the number of personnel assigned to the Emergency Operations Facility.

NSC has contended that the number of personnel is insufficient.

f

. By this Resolution agreement, LILCO agrees to provide seven communicators in the EOF, rather than the three currently listed in the LILCO plan at sections 5.2.8 and 5.5.1.

Three of these seven communicators will monitor dose assessment; four will man the command room.

LILCO will revise the plan at sec-tion 5.2.8 to reflect these changes.

Accordingly, based upon LILCO's agreement to take this action, NSC finds that NSC Contention EP 12(A) is resolved.

As a result, the parties jointly urge the Licensing Board to accept this Resolution to terminate litigation of NSC Contention EP 12(A).
