RESOLUTION OF NORTH SHORE COMMITTEE CONTENTION EP 11(F) -- COMMUNICATIONS THROUGH NAWAS THIS AGREEMENT by and among Long Island Lighting Company ("LILCO"), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission Staff e

(" Staff"), Suffolk County ("the County" or "SC"),

the Shoreham opponents Coalition (" SOC"), and the North Shore Committee

("NSC") (hereinafter collectively the " Parties") resolves North Shore Committee Contention EP 11(F) in accordance with the terms stated below, subject to the approval of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (" Board").

North Shore Committee Contention EP 11(F) concerns the coverage and load capacity of the National Alert Warning System (NAWAS) discussed in section 7.2.2 of the LILCO plan.

NSC has contended that the LILCO plan has insufficient information to determine whether this communications system is reliable.

'# Having reviewed information provided by LILCO to NSC through the New York State Disaster Preparedness Commission regarding'the capabilities of NAWAS, including load capacities, system design, and the nature of the dedicated line system, NSC has now concluded that its concerns regarding the system are resolved.

Accordingly, the Parties jointly urge the Licensing Board to accept this Resolution to terminate litigation of NSC Contention EP 11(F).
