This refers to the in'spection ' conducted by the RRC inspection team identified in the enclosure, during the period of December 29-30, 1981 of your activities
_being performed relative to the environmental qualific tion of safety related electrical equipment.
This inspection was performed a.
Jyle Laboratories, tionco, California on the. POST-LOCA, tests performed on Weidmuller terminal
~
blocks.
-The enclosed copy of our inspec.tio'n report identifies the areas' examined during the inspection includi~ng the test plans used for qualification of ele.ctrical terminations manufactured,by the Weidmuller Terminations, Inc.
-The result of our review of the test plans indicated that the qual.ification j
' test program generally conforms to the guidelines of IEEE 323'-1974 and fiUREG-0588.
Observation of the test data indicate that -the terminal blocks and associated interfaces will perform their intended function when exposed to specified POST-LOCA environment.
In order to more accurately describe the l
test program, the test plans should specify certain test rethods and parameters as discussed in the enclosed inspection report.
In.accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's reg 41atioris, a copy of this

If your receipt of this letter has been delayed such that less than 7 days are available for your review, please notify this office promptly so that a new date may be established.
Consistent with Section 2.790(b)(1), any such application must be accompanied by an affidavit executed by the owner of the information which identifies the document or part sought to be withheld, and which contains a full statement of the reasons on the basis which it is claimed that the information should be withheld from public disclosure.
The section further requires the statement to address with specificity the 8209290236 820826 PDR FOIA YOUNC82-345 PDR

considerations listed in-10 CFR 2.790(b)(4).
The information sought to be withheld shall be incorporated as far as possible into a separate part of the-affidavit.
