RB-2019-11, W ritten Exam Analysis There class consisted of 13 students (7 SROs).

Question 10, 7/13 missed (54%)

RBS has reviewed the question and believes it to be valid and has only one correct answer. This K/A was presented during the train ing program.

High missed question due to students' attention to detail and level of knowledge . Students were weak on RCIC suction valve interlocks (when the CST valve starts to stroke open, Supp pool suction valve not full open vs fully closed) .

Question 16, 2/13 missed (15%)

RBS has reviewed the question and believes it to be valid and has two correct answers (B & D) . This K/A was presented during the training program .

This question was missed due to students understanding of operation of MOV powered by E22-S004, Div 3 4160KV Bus . When E22-MOVF004, HPCS Injection Valve is closed the moto r to operate the valve is energized causing load currents on the bus to increase due to additional electrical loading .

Based on additional electrical loading to operate the E22 -MOVF004, RBS believes B & D should both be acceptable correct answers.

Question 43, 11/13 missed (85%)

RBS has reviewed the question and believes it to be valid and has two correct answers. This K/A was presented during the training program .

High missed question due to students trained to use both methods to verify all rods are fully inserted .

During simulator training, the students were taught to use both methods (RAW DATA selected and deselected) . When raw data is selected the position will indicate - - . When raw data is deselected, and all rods is depressed 00 will be indicated on the full core display. See photos for illustration . The students were trained to use both methods to verify all control rods are fully inserted .

Based on the training provided and simulator performance answers A and D should be correct answers.

Photos: RAW DATA Deselected, Full Core Display indicates 00 for each rod .
